These reimagined pure beeswax candles are made by hand by Ottawa's The Wax Studio. Made with love, these candles will fill your home with a light natural honey smell while also making a lovely decor piece.
Here's a piece of early 1900s apothecary history. A poisonous story!
The Wax Studio made a mold out of an old glass etched apothecary bottle that used to hold sulfuric acid, also known as oil of vitriol - a mineral acid composed of sulfur, oxygen and hydrogen (molecular formula H 2 SO 4). Produced for chemists and used in apothecaries, this bottle would have housed a poisonous liquid.
This is a one-of-a-kind candle that burns so beautifully.
The Wax Studio hand filters the beeswax used in this candle and uses only pure cotton wicks.
