Blue Jays - bright and bold with an insatiable appetite! Maybe you know someone with a similar character, who would make a perfect match for this bird? Blue Jays symbolize loyalty, intelligence and are known for their family bonds. The parents are fierce defenders of their young.  A great gift choice for the similar named hockey team, or for anyone that simply loves the colour blue!

This Blue Jay is created entirely from glass - no paints, glazes or molds. The shape was designed and hand-cut, then layers of coloured crushed glass built up on the clear shape before firing the bird is in a kiln over many hours. The Glass Bakery initials each bird on their reverse. The bird comes with their own detachable log perch that has been sanded on the underside for stability. Simply slot the bird's legs into the holes in the top side of the wood.

• Size: Approximately 3.5"H (not including legs or wood)
• Materials: Glass, metal & wood
• Made in Canada

Please note:

Each bird will vary slightly from one another due to the nature of handmade glass. The wood pieces they are perched on will also be different from one another. Please expect minor variations in tone and shade due to the handcrafted, unique and whimsical nature of the work. The direction the bird is facing will vary randomly. Because the birds are created using successive layering of glass, their detail is best seen from the front.
